Both the 300 and 342 are on their way to Japan for the Haute Votige Airshow at the Twin Ring Motegi Raceway in Japan. Philipp Stienbach, designer and German Champion and Current Vice World Aerobatic Champion, Renaud Ecalle, will be piloting the new Sbach aircraft. Look for some increadible You Tube videos from this event!
What was most impressive about this event was how easy it was to prepare both aircraft for ocean shipping. I actually flew the 342 in the morning and we had both aircraft loaded int he container within 5 hours. Now that our fixture is complete for shipping it estimate we can unload both aircraft from the container and have them in the air within half a day.
Philipps designed the aircraft for ease of assembly. While most aerobatic aircraft can take days to dissassemble the Sbach is designed to easily dissasembled for shipment and inspection in less than 3 hours. We now know we can get two Sbach's in one 40 foot container wintout even removing the prop or gear!!!
See you in Japan!!!
